Isobel Lola Brown is a senior, studying Literary Journalism. She especially enjoys writing about culture. She is dedicated to helping foster an open and engaged community, where awareness and dialogue about current events are encouraged among students.

Toulmin Jahncke is a third-year student studying Literature and Drama, with a love for storytelling. Her editorial work includes a previous internship for ELLE Magazine and a current position at the Lens. In her spare time, Toulmin enjoys Grandma activities, such as playing solitaire and watching old movies.

Nathan Kerr is a writer from Pittsburgh whose work has been published in The Student newspaper and The Creator magazine. Focusing on Literature and Environmental Studies, he is excited to explore these areas and others through the Bennington Lens.

Lane Schultz is a senior at Bennington College from the second-worst area in California. She studies Visual Art and Media Studies with a focus in archives and memory.

Olivia Morrison is a sophomore from Bedford, New Hampshire. At Bennington she studies literature and journalism, also partaking in the occasional music, history, or astronomy course. Her favorite flavor of tea from the dining hall is New England Breakfast.

Abigail Singh is a first-year student from Brooklyn, New York, and is studying Literary Journalism. Her writing interests are centered around bipoc and student of color perspectives, as well as cultural politics. She is a writer who also pursues public action in the world as an activist and advocate. She has collaborated with legislators and groups that support education reform around New York City, such as 50Can.

Elie Pichanick is a second-term freshman studying Photography at Bennington College. She has worked as a concert photographer for various publications, such as Haste Magazine and Melophile Media. She also recently interned as a sports photographer for Villanova University’s Athletics Department. When Elie is not looking through a viewfinder, you can find her listening to music or reading a book.

Ruby Haller is a Junior from Providence, Rhode Island who transferred to Bennington in Fall 2023. She studies Literature, Anthropology, and Philosophy. She enjoys abnormally large pastries.

Simu Kaur (she/her) is a first-year student concentrating in literature and effective altruism with a focus in liminality. Previously, she has written for The Stanford Daily and was a runner-up for the New York Times summer reading contest in 2022. She likes flash fiction, Beach House, and Channing Tatum.

Sebastian Martinez is a junior studying literature and creative writing. In addition to working for the Lens, he is also the prose editor for Silo and represents the Literature department for SEPC. In his (little) spare time he likes to watch nature videos of penguins falling down and beavers building dams.

Gerardo Azpiri Iglesias is a senior at Bennington College where he studies Literature and French, and a graduate from the Creative Writing program at Interlochen Arts Academy. His work was awarded first place in the category of nonfiction for the Bennington Young Writers Awards 2019, and was named Finalist at the Adroit Poetry Prize 2020. His work can be found in the Adroit Journal and (M)othertongues.

Kamra is a first-year student whose work has been featured by The Offing, Bringing the Light series,  KALW, Youth Speaks, Brave New Voices, Youth Poet Laureate, The San Jose Museum of Art & The FHS Phoenix. Off the page she can be found throwing informal performances for her companions, tending to her various pets & sewing overly-ambitious garments.
